A major strength of the group is its ability to do independent research and development crediting the Group with innovative products. The Group has a dedicated team of 6 designers headed by a Executive Director who has more than 12 years experience in the industry and is also an experienced merchandiser of garments. The designers interact frequently with the marketing section heads of the respective brands to effectively and successfully promote the products.
The department, formed since 1993, is primarily responsible for:- Monitoring the development of fashion wear in Malaysia and other leading countries. This is very useful in forecasting future market in fashion wear in Malaysia. Formulating appropriate designs, fabric selection, pattern and colour combinations for new garments and accessories using the latest computerized technology. Quality testing of new fabrics and combinations. This is an integral part of fashion creation by which the fabric samples are put through intensive washings to determine durability and acceptability. Sample testing of new products including tests of consumers’ preference carried out across Malaysia throughout the year. |
